Jessica Kaplan, MA, MFT
Jessica Kaplan is a Marriage and Family Therapist with ten years of experience working with children, individuals, couples and families, in both private and school settings. Jessica earned her Bachelors in Psychology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and she received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.
Jessica worked for eight years in the Miami Beach, FL public school system with it’s emotionally handicapped student population and their families. She received her Florida Marriage and Family Therapy license in 2002.
After moving to Connecticut, Jessica began work with the Stamford Counseling Center in 2011 and received her Connecticut licensure in May of 2013.
Jessica offers a safe and supportive environment for clients to find positive ways to communicate and interact with others, to resolve problems in their lives and personal relationships, and to increase awareness of their thoughts, beliefs, choices and behaviors. Jessica works closely with her clients to help them stop destructive patterns and to access personal resources in order to reach their therapeutic goals.
In addition to her work with the Stamford Counseling Center Jessica facilitates domestic violence groups for offenders through Family ReEntry, Inc. in Norwalk.
Jessica is one of three therapists on staff who sees clients in both Stamford and theNew Canaan office. She also offers a flexible schedule and telephone sessions to accommodate clients’ needs.
